About this board
Toy Hauler Owners Forum went up in September 2025, the week dove season opened, because the big rv boards had turned into a place where a toy hauler question gets answered by somebody with a class A who has never had a side by side in the living room. This board is haulers only. Fifth wheel, bumper pull, 12 foot garage or 8, does not matter. Most of us are in south Texas and tow to a deer lease or the coast, and a handful found us from Oklahoma and Nebraska.
It is run by Derek H., who lives in Kenedy, runs a fence and gate crew across Karnes and Wilson counties, and has pulled a toy hauler to a lease in Karnes County every fall since 2011. Right now that is a 2019 Keystone Raptor 356 behind a Ram 3500. He posts as mod_derek_h and he reads the contact address himself, slowly in November because he is at camp.
How it is paid for
Out of pocket. Hosting for a board this size is less than a tank of diesel a year. There are no ads, no affiliate links, and nobody is paid to post. If a member sells rigs or works for a dealer or an auction, they say so under their name, and if they do not, they get pulled.
House rules
- Year and floorplan in every post about a rig. A 397TH-R and a 376TH are not the same problem.
- Sticker weights on towing questions. Post the GVWR, the payload sticker, the axle rating. Guessing is what the other boards are for.
- Say what you paid. A buying report without a number gets a mod note asking for one.
- No selling in threads. There is no classifieds board on purpose and there will not be one.
- No dealer or auction staff posting as customers. Say who you work for under your name.
- Mods can move, merge or lock a topic. They will say why in the thread.
- Be decent to the new people. Everybody backed a 40 footer into a mesquite once.
- Registration is by request while we keep the spam bots out. Use the contact page.
What we are not
Not a dealer, not an auction, not a parts store, and not the owner's manual. When somebody here gives you a torque spec or a tire pressure, check it against the sticker on your rig before you trust it.
